In this issue, we will introduce you to [CANVA] and [STENCIL].
Which one is right for you?
First, I’d like to conclude that
・If you want to use it for free, use CANVA.
・If you want to use it for a fee, we recommend STENCEL
is recommended.
Although stencil has a higher monthly fee, you can edit on WordPress and upload directly to WordPress.
Uploading to social networking sites can also be done directly from stencil.
If you want to continue blogging in earnest and work hard on social networking, you should probably choose STENCIL.
Why we recommend STENCEL for paid plans
The biggest difference between CANVA and STENCIL is the ability to edit images directly on WordPress.
This is by far the fastest way to edit images for blogging.
By being able to edit on wordpress.
・Uploading images to Stencil
・Editing
・Upload to WordPress
and post them quickly and easily.
With regular image editing tools, you have to save the image to your computer or other device once it is completed.
Simply by not downloading the edited image, you can work much more efficiently.
If you notice a mistake after inserting an image, you can re-edit it on the fly.
You can learn more about editing images in WordPress here.

CANVA is recommended if you want to use it for free.
If you want to edit images for free, CANVA is a good choice.
I have the impression that CANVA has more free photos, icons, and templates.
Besides, since STENCIL is limited to 10 images/month that can be created by editing, the free version will be difficult to use.
The free version of stencil does not support Japanese fonts, and it seems difficult to use it with gusto on blogs and social networking sites.
CANVA | stencil | |
Number of photos | private | private |
Number of icons | private | private |
template | More than 250,000 items | private(Up to three) |
storage | Up to 5GB | Up to 50 sheets |
CANVA is definitely the way to go for free image editing.
Stencil may be updated in the future, but it is currently not a free service that can be used properly.
What about [stencil] Pro plan?
Stencil also offers a Pro plan (from $9/month).
The price is roughly the same as CANVA, but which is easier to use?
Conclusion.
If you are updating 10 to 20 articles per month, you may consider Stencil’s Pro.
The stencil Pro plan allows up to 50 images per month.
This is a bit of a stretch for those who update their blogs daily, but should be sufficient for those who update one post every two or three days.

Stencil offers a 7-day free trial.
Pro/Unlimited Since there are only 7 days to choose either plan, we recommend using the highest level Unlimited for now.
If you are satisfied with the Pro, cancel during the trial and sign up for the full Pro.
Conclusion.
If you’re not sure between CANVA and STENCIL, you can decide based on whether you’ll be editing images for blogs or social networking sites.
- If you want to get serious about blogging and social networking, we recommend STENCIL, which allows you to post to blogs and social networking sites directly from the editing screen.
- If you have less online use, such as posters or flyers, either is acceptable.
However, the free plan of STENCEL is almost unusable.
If you want to do image editing for free, CANVA is recommended.
On the other hand, if you want an easy-to-use editing tool, even if you have to pay for it, we recommend STENCIL.
If you want to create images for WordPress or SNS (Twitter/Instagram/Facebook, etc.) with gusto, we recommend STENCIL unlimited plan.
Since STENCIL can create images directly from the WordPress editing screen, it speeds up the writing of articles.
You can also resize images posted on WordPress and post them directly to social networking sites.
You may not be able to go back to CANVA because the speed of image creation and posting will increase dramatically.
Stencil is the best companion for your blog, so use the 7-day free trial for now.
